With the announcement of the untimely demise of the congregation known as StillWaters, perhaps some of our readers wonder what will become of this blog. The answer is simple - it will continue on. This has become my favorite blog. There is no way that I will chloroform it. The sponsorship of the blog will change, and there may be some minor content changes, but this blog is going to continue right along, just as each of the individual members of StillWaters will.
It still remains to be seen what will happen to our little congregation. Will we somehow stick together as a unit in a different church, will we become a mini diaspora spread like seed among the churches of Rowan County, or will we stand together and soldier on as a new congregation in our God-given mission to the people of this area? It would seem that scattering is the most inevitable of these possibilities, and yet there are some among us who really have no interest in being anything else but a congregation. It is going to be interesting to see what happens.
Tomorrow is our last Sunday together as StillWaters. If you are near-by and can join us, I think that it will be a memorable service. We meet at KidSports off of South Main Street in Salisbury, NC. The service will start sometime around 10:30.
Then keep coming here for information about what is happening with our little band, where the StillWaters Jazz Band is playing, where you can find a house meeting, and for the content that you have come to expect on this blog. Thanks for your prayers, and thanks for reading.

A Message From The Skipper
Dear Friends
The God of grace is the God of your reality.
The Lord of glory is the Lord of your heart and spirit.
The King of Kings and Lord of Lords is your strength and help.
That is why He is so approachable, even though He is holy and sovereign. It is His desire that each of us have our heart's desire to delight in Him. It is my heart's desire to be a leader among many who do exactly that... daily.
This Sunday morning and evening should prove to be important in our corporate life as a congregation after God's own heart.
I will make my plea here: please join the gatherings on Sunday as they may well set the course for our immediate and longer range future as an extended family of faith. It is important to me, and I hope you will join me and Carol, and the rest on Sunday.
Worship gathering at KidSports 10:30 am,
"What Happened to THEM?"
Oasis Diner at Kirker home 5:30 pm,
"Christmas in October" - Carol is roasting Turkey and you may bring all the trimmin's! Rick and I will present some of the opportunities relating to parties in the months to come.
God's best to you, now and always,
Cameron
Romans 1:16,17
"Even now, declares the Lord, return to me with all your heart, with fasting and weeping and mourning. Rend your heart and not your garments. Return to the Lord your God, for he is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love, and he relents from sending calamity." Joel 2:13 NIV

New Song Coming Sunday Morning!
Rick and I were working on music yesterday and were looking at a song that we had in the songbook. Neither of us really liked the tune, but we both liked what the words had to say. As we parted I told Rick that I'd see what I could do and see if I could find a new tune for this hymn.
After a day of running errands, I was concerned that I wouldn't have the time to write something, but God really came through! In about 15 minutes I had written most of the tune and within another 30 minutes I had transcribed the tune into Finale Notepad. What was most miraculous of all was that I got the rhythms right on the first try! I NEVER do that. Either I am finally starting to learn a little theory, or God was just looking out for me...
Well, He's ALWAYS looking out for me!
It isn't a Brandenburg Concerto, but I like the end result. The song title is Let Your Heart Be Broken. My sister, Vanessa Dellinger, also contributed a good suggestion for a modification of my original tune. Her version is less hokey! (We're going with her version.)
